I'm stuck in the "not done a heck of a lot" and "wow time has flown". I honestly can't account for it, and I'm really not even going to try to write it all down, I'm just going to hit the highlights.
August - Shipped out my first box of cards to Operation Write Home. I waited for several weeks for commentary about things I needed to fix, and in the world of OWH, no news is good news... so I can assume that none of the cards I made ended up in the Card hospital. That's an awesome thing.
August also saw the rise of the Rainbow Loom. That took off like a rocket! I'ts a toy made for ages 8 and up. It's a plastic peg loom in three rows that you can rearrange as necessary. Each row of pegs sits on a blue holder and that's how you can rearrange them for different patterns. YouTube has TONS of how to videos and now they actually have books to show you how to make different bracelets and ideas. I made about two dozen of those in a very short time.
From there, we find September. I went to a crop and bought more Copic markers. Copic markers are just awesome! I started out with one because I didn't understand what made them so awesome. Then I bought a set of 6; and that soon expanded to almost 56; and I have some on my Christmas list also... so yes, I've figured them out. They are good at blending colors.... that's their claim to fame, and they do it very well. I went crazy and bought a bunch of Christmas stamps and some plan white smooth cardstock and went crazy. Then I used the markers and "rendered" (colored and blended to make subtle shades) them. I put those aside for the work Marketplace.
Now it's October and I honestly don't really know where that whole month went. I discovered Quilling; and time stood still. From the time I discovered Quilling and received my starter kit, it was a whilrwind of quilling snowflakes (I found a really nice one on YouTube), making cards and weaving bracelets.
November is shipping my love off to Vegas for the first week for his conference while I worked every day, came home and made more cards with Copics, stamps and my Cricut. For the week he was gone, I set up a schedule of cards and at least 2 snowflakes per night. It kept me busy and I didn't miss the Mr. so much.
November 19th and 20th was the Craft show; and while I didn't sell much of anything, I'm very happy with the work I did.
Just today, I opened an Etsy shop to try and sell these wonderful works of art. Gina's Goodies
Here are a few of the cards:
Here's one that is a copyrighted image, so I couldn't sell it, but I colored it just for grins.
I think this one is my best work!
And then... just when you thought I was done... I made... Quilled snowflakes!
