My Latest Creations!

I spent some quality time with my Cricut and my Wild Card cartridge.  This is what I came up with.

After that, comes thus little gem:

And I used that cartridge too add words to a card I've already made.  It really mazes it up a bit.  Don't you think?

Today's cards

I finally broke out my mini cricut and put it to work creating cards.  I need to find a fall or Thanksgiving theme for something I have in mind... I'm trying to get all the seasons and major holidays covered.

Black, white and red might be a little weird for Valentine's Day, but I think it works!

A redo

I found a few embellishments, and I like these a lot more now.  They're a bit juvenile looking, I think.  I really like the fall one the best.

The two birthday ones, are new, and they seem to work.

New Cards

Good morning and Happy Monday!

Yesterday, I was at work making a few cards.  They look a little sparse to me.  I was going for a somewhat minimalist approach, and I think I overdid the "less is more".  The nice thing is, I can always add to the card.. it's a lot easier than trying to subtract elements.

So here goes!

This is a card I made for a friend in the hospital.. but Im not sure I like it enough to give to someone.  I like the embossing, and I like the colored hearts, but the cutout heart is a little "blah"; and I think the stamp should be "different" (although I'm not sure HOW... or what look I want).

The next one is VERY minimalist, but I love the color choice.  It reminds me more of fall, and I'm not really sure where to go from here with it.  I think it needs something (acorn paper piecing, a pumpkin in the corner, fall leaves, maybe?  Thoughts anyone??

This is a card I made using a heart puzzle coluzzle that I love (I'm still upset that they don't make them anymore!  I'm glad I bought most of them when I heard, but I'm still looking for more!).  I used a butterfly punch to try for a 3D look; and I think that I succeeded, for the most part.  I have a glue dot under the right wing to help it stand up a little.  The sentiment is "my heart breaks when I think of you".  Sappy, I know..

Okay.. and THIS one is the best of the bunch, I think:  I still need to get some small gem embellishments, but for what I had to work with, it's pretty darned good!
